The Role:

Fidelity Digital Assets has an exciting opportunity to bring on a Platform Product Manager within the Product Delivery team! This role will play a critical role in delivering secure, scalable backend capabilities that underpin core institutional workflows. Platform Services provides mission-critical backend capabilities that power core financial operations, including wire processing, settlement, bookkeeping, and downstream data transmission to external systems such as tax and reporting platforms. We operate within a highly complex and interdependent backend ecosystem, requiring strong ownership of system behavior, data integrity, and financial correctness. You will collaborate with delivery teams operating within a Scrum framework, providing clear priorities, making informed trade-offs, and ensuring that delivery aligns to system-level outcomes.

This role requires a dedicated and accountable product manager who will:

  • Translate Product Strategy direction into clear, prioritized roadmaps and execution plans

  • Own product outcomes, ensuring accurate, reliable, and scalable processing of financial transactions and data

  • Own backend capabilities across event flows, processing logic, and system interactions

  • Make informed prioritization and trade-off decisions across scope, risk, performance, and reliability

  • Define and manage ownership boundaries across systems and services

  • Define and track KPIs focused on data accuracy, system reliability, throughput, and latency

  • This role will partner across engineering, operations, and product teams to deliver capabilities that ensure the accurate, reliable, and scalable movement of financial data and transactions.

  • Ensure systems deliver value by supporting critical financial operations accurately and consistently

  • Identify and manage risks related to data loss, duplication, mis-sequencing of events, and incorrect financial processing

  • Drive continuous improvement in system integrity, observability, and delivery effectiveness

  • Leverage AI tools and automation to improve efficiency and quality across product management activities

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus

  • Significant experience in product management within technology or Fintech organizations

  • Experience working on backend platforms, distributed systems, or financial processing systems

  • Experience working within Scrum or similar delivery frameworks

  • Strong experience partnering with engineering teams on complex technical systems

  • Experience in financial services, digital assets, or regulated environments preferred

Product Execution, Distributed Systems & Architecture

  • Own product roadmap, prioritization, and backlog management, translating strategy into clear, actionable plans and measurable outcomes.

  • Lead product development across complex distributed systems, APIs, event-driven workflows, and data pipelines.

  • Define and manage system interactions, integration points, dependencies, and ownership boundaries.

  • Understand and manage event flows across Kafka or similar messaging platforms, ensuring reliable data processing and transmission.

  • Partner closely with engineering and architecture teams to identify risks, resolve system-level issues, and deliver scalable, resilient solutions.

Data/Financial Integrity & Operational Excellence

  • Own data accuracy, consistency, and financial integrity across processing workflows and distributed systems.

  • Define and manage data contracts, schemas, and system interfaces, ensuring changes are coordinated and minimize downstream impact.

  • Understand and support key financial processes, including settlement, bookkeeping, reconciliation, and tax-related workflows.

  • Partner with engineering and operations to establish observability, monitoring, traceability, and reconciliation capabilities.

  • Identify and mitigate risks related to data quality, transaction processing, auditability, and system performance while balancing precision, scalability, and reliability.

Strategic Execution, Leadership & AI-Enabled Delivery

  • Lead cross-functional planning, prioritization, and dependency management, adapting to evolving business needs while maintaining alignment to strategic outcomes.

  • Make product decisions that balance business value, risk, compliance, quality, and operational reliability.

  • Partner effectively across engineering, operations, risk, and control teams to drive alignment, accountability, and successful delivery.

  • Communicate clearly, build strong stakeholder relationships, and operate effectively in complex, high-accountability environments.

  • Leverage AI and automation tools to improve analysis, decision-making, productivity, and delivery efficiency while applying appropriate governance and responsible-use practices.
