The Role

The Fidelity Private Shares team is adding an associate-level Product Manager to join the growing product team for Fidelity’s private company VC fund administration platform. Our team delivers innovative technology, robust industry experience, seamless service to our customers, and we are passionate about building products that tackle real world complexity.

In this role, you will work closely with other product managers, UX designers, and developers to help define and deliver product features. As Associate Product Manager, will be responsible for documentation and business readiness, including creating and executing business readiness testing plans.

This role is focused on the integration between our accounting system and front-end portal. You will bring curiosity and self-motivation to develop your own expertise and knowledge to expand the team’s impact.


You’ll be responsible for a range of product and business readiness activities, including:

  • Validate and articulate clear detailed product requirements

  • Research project topics through regulations, interviewing subject matter experts. competitive landscape, and other subject matter to inform product definition

  • Define features and create product specification documentation

  • Draft or review product content for accuracy and comprehension

  • Conduct product acceptance testing and validation, working with product and engineers to solve outstanding issues

  • Document and demonstrate product features for training and knowledge sharing

  • Communicate release information to sales, marketing, and support teams

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in product management, audit, or accounting

  • High degree of self-motivation and natural curiosity to learn new things; must be a self-starter and eager to learn

  • Experience within product management, accounting, or audit

  • Strong communication and ability to make complex concepts accessible

  • Motivation to work collaboratively to drive product initiatives from idea to market

  • Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities

  • Familiarity with private market VC fund administration is a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $67,000-$127,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
