The Team
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer on behalf of our client, Fidelity Investments.
Fidelity Investments has an exciting opportunity to work with Fidelity Prime Services! Our products offer clients the tools to serve their securities financing needs, including short coverage, margin financing, and long lending. The team members’ main focus will start with development of test plans, test cases, test execution and automation. We are also looking for a candidate with additional development skills to contribute to database development, Java, or UI development skills. Candidates must have brokerage trading industry experience.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
- Solid experience testing brokerage industry financial applications
- Test automation experience using BDD framework built using Cucumber/ Selenium
- Running automation in a CI/CD pipeline.
- Experience working in agile Software Development Lifecycle
- Strong SQL experience - candidate must be able to write and execute complex queries.
- Experience in middle tier coding using Java a plus.
- Front end development using Angular, JavaScript a plus.
- Backend development skills – Oracle SQL a plus

The Value You Deliver
- You work closely with the product owner and the Tech Project Manager in your team to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
- You work with developers in your team to understand the technical implementation of the product and can understand and review their code
- You develop and maintain automation code that will be used by your team to do regression testing
- You can reproduce, debug, and isolate problems and verify fixes
- You are responsible for ensuring that quality control standards are being followed by your squad
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
