Overview
As a member of the Enterprise Technology Solution Architecture team, you will play a key role in defining and advancing Fidelity's Document Management strategy. The Document Management domain provides firm-wide capabilities that enable document management, document processing, electronic signature and consent, document services, and related business workflows and transactions. In this role, you will partner with product architects, engineering leaders, business stakeholders, and technology executives to shape strategic direction, establish architecture standards, and drive delivery of scalable enterprise solutions.
The Team
Fidelity’s Advanced Process Solutions group is engaged in building enterprise platforms and services that are leveraged by multiple Fidelity business units. As a member of the Enterprise Technology Solution Architecture team, you will define solutions for the document management platform strategy, cloud deployment strategy and automation capabilities to support speed to market.
The Document Management domain includes several strategic capabilities:
• Document Management – Document repositories, content services, document APIs, records management, and content lifecycle management.
• Document Processing – Document intake, scanning, classification, metadata extraction, and integration with business transactions.
• Electronic Signature – Enterprise capabilities supporting digital signing, consent capture, and integration with business transactions.
The Expertise We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
12+ years of experience in software architecture, solution architecture, or enterprise application development.
Experience architecting enterprise platforms and shared services that support multiple business capabilities and lines of business.
Experience designing cloud-native, reuseable modular solutions utilizing APIs, event-driven architectures, and public cloud platforms.
Extensive experience designing enterprise document management, document processing, workflow, or content-centric solutions.
Strong understanding of document intake, workflow orchestration, classification, metadata management, business process automation, and document-centric transaction processing.
Experience with enterprise content management, document processing, and digital signature platforms such as Nuxeo, Alfresco, FileNet, Documentum, SharePoint, DocuSign, or similar technologies.
Knowledge of records management, retention, privacy, and regulatory requirements such as SEC 17a-4, FINRA, HIPAA, and related compliance standards.
Experience evaluating emerging technologies, including AI-enabled document processing, intelligent automation, and AI-assisted software development and architecture tools.

Define and communicate the architectural vision, strategy, roadmaps, and target-state architectures for Enterprise Document Management capabilities.
Drive architecture adoption through engineering standards, design patterns, reference architectures, and governance practices that enable scalable and consistent solution delivery.
Lead platform strategy and modernization efforts, including technology evaluations, capability roadmaps, consolidation opportunities, and build-versus-buy decisions.
Architect scalable, resilient, and reusable solutions that support document management, document processing, and related business capabilities across the enterprise.
Lead, proofs of concept, and technology assessments to validate solution approaches and evaluate emerging technologies, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.
Partner with business, product, engineering, and architecture leaders to align technology investments, solution designs, and delivery priorities with strategic business objectives.
Communicate complex architectural concepts, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations in clear business terms to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Coach and mentor architects and engineering teams while fostering a culture of architectural excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
