The Role
The Senior Business Analyst – Compensation is responsible for supporting the design, configuration, and execution of enterprise compensation platforms. This role partners with HR, Compensation, Business and Technology teams to translate compensation strategies into system functionality while ensuring requirement accuracy. This role blends product development, deep HR/Compensation expertise, and strong analytical capabilities to ensure our compensation planning experiences are intuitive, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
The Team
You’ll serve as a key contributor within the Enterprise HR Tools & Platforms team, supporting Fidelity’s suite of internal compensation, data, and analytics tools. As part of a squad focused on elevating the digital experience for HR, Compensation and Business users, you’ll drive efficiency and help advance the modernization of the HR Platforms based on business objectives.
Working closely with Compensation SMEs, HR business units, engineering, design, and business leaders, you’ll translate complex requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, and solution designs while ensuring those features are deployed to production as requested. Your work will help shape the future roadmap of our compensation platforms and ensure continuous improvement, strong data integrity, and a seamless, user‑centered experience across the tools.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Information Systems, Business, HR, Analytics, or a related field.
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst, ideally supporting HR or compensation platforms.
Proficiency in data mapping, data validation, and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, comparison formulas).
Strong background in requirements gathering, documentation, functional specifications, and user story creation.
Experience with test planning, UAT execution, and defect management in an agile environment.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non‑technical audiences.
Ability to interpret processes and translate them into system logic, configurations, and scalable workflows.
Comfort working in agile product teams, including backlog refinement, sprint ceremonies, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Ability to independently break down complex problems, explore assumptions, ask clarifying questions, and connect data, process, and policy.
Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to streamline processes or enhance user experience.
Ability to provide technical guidance to peers and support internal discussions, workshops, and solution‑design sessions.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
