Loan Operations Administrator II - HMDA

The Loan Operations Administrator HMDA is responsible for supporting the Bank's Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) compliance program by ensuring operational activities are performed accurately, timely, and in accordance with applicable federal regulations, internal policies, and established procedures.

  • Serve as a member of the HMDA Loan Review Team, supporting data integrity and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Perform reconciliations and certifications for loan-related accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor operational and compliance-related reports and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist with audits, regulatory exams, special projects, and departmental initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all customers, loan, and internal bank data.
  • Provide effective customer service and resolve issues within established authority.

The candidate should have:

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) (Regulation C), including requirements related to data collection, validation, integrity, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Understanding of HMDA reportable transactions and data elements, including application types, action taken categories, loan characteristics (e.g., loan purpose, occupancy, lien status), and applicant demographic information.
  • Ability to support HMDA data integrity and quality control processes, including identifying, researching, and resolving discrepancies, and working with HMDA edit checks (validity, quality, and macro).
  • Knowledge of HMDA LAR submission requirements, timelines, and internal certification processes, with awareness of associated regulatory and reputational risks.
  • Ability to interpret and apply internal HMDA procedures, regulatory guidance, and industry standards, and support audits, regulatory exams, or quality control reviews.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in banking or lending-related functions, including exposure to loan operations and the lending lifecycle, (e.g., application processing, servicing, or reporting) and demonstrated knowledge of HMDA (Regulation C) requirements; three (3) or more years of related experience preferred, particularly in, regulatory reporting, or compliance-focused roles, with a college degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
