JanSport/Eastpak: Analyst, FP&A
You as the Financial Analyst will have the primary responsibility of preparing business performance analysis, reporting, and forecasting to support the Americas business. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the annual budget, the strategic plan, and analysis & reporting of monthly operating results.

Support the monthly forecast, reporting and analysis, the annual operating plan, and the strategic plan processes.
Analyze business performance and identify key risks and opportunities through financial and operational data.
Own and monitor critical business KPIs, including Ecommerce performance metrics and cost-center spending.
Build and enhance financial models that support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term business plans.
Provide ad hoc analytical support and perform special projects as needed.

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 0-2 years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or other quantitative/analytical disciplines. An MBA is a plus but not a requirement.
Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, data management and reporting skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment & to be a team player.
Knowledge and experience in financial concepts, budgeting, and forecasting with strong financial modeling skills.
Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills.
Ability to partner across functions and drive process improvements and business results.
Strong analytical ability and critical thinking skills which would enable thoughtful analysis and interpretation of financial results and identification of key business issues underlying the numbers.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.
Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Strong appreciation for culture in a values-driven business.
Location requirement: hybrid role in New Jersey, City Office.
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
Ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience in FP&A, preferably in the retail or consumer-related industries.
