The Wells Fargo Philippines & India Underwriting and Annual Reviews team, as directed by the onshore Underwriting team, will assist with some or most of the underwriting functions on a new deal including performing due diligence on the company, management and industry, assessing the financial health of the prospective client (Prospect), understanding the company's collateral assets, completing the compliance due diligence, preparing underwriting memos to present to credit committee for approval, and setting up the account in the system of record


About the Role



Internally known as Operations Manager 4. Manages, directly and through subordinates, operational activities for a large single functional unit or multiple sections. Directs nonexempt staff or a small entry-level exempt staff. Works independently on moderately complex issues and projects. Manages ongoing processing efforts and is accountable to manager for unit budget.



Responsibilities


  • Responsible for heading the part of commercial capital underwriting and annual review business
  • Reports to Head of Commercial Capital underwriting and annual review business and directly manage teams comprising Underwriters/Team Lead/SMEs and Operations Managers
  • Responsible for leading the transition and seamlessly setting up the business
  • Interact and/or negotiate with senior level business partners in WF US and EGS
  • Flexibility to work in shifts & open for lateral opportunities as per the business requirements
  • Take a lead role in developing and implementing best practices
  • Increase effectiveness of staff and tools by recognizing opportunities for development and proactively creating new systems and structures
  • Manages operations of various shared service functions supporting multiple lines of businesses ensuring transitions progress smoothly and process meets its agreed metrics
  • Responsible for creating and monitoring business goals for team that align to Enterprise goals (including LoB expectations) and EGS goals
  • Foster strong relationship with LOB leaders through regular communication
  • Ensure EGS people strategy is implemented with focus on growth and development needs of team members
  • Plan, Execute and Responsible for People, Process, Risk, Operational Excellence
  • Process improvement and redesign - proactively identify, analyze and improve existing processes / process reengineering.
  • Supports policy and procedure administration, rating agency reviews, Regulatory requirements, Compliance, Risk Management, Enterprise Information Technology and Legal
  • Responsible to handle escalation and provide speedy resolution
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.


Market Skills and Certifications




Essential Qualifications

:

  • Bachelor's degree graduate
  • 13+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following:
    End to end credit lending services for commercial loans, credit underwriting specialized senior secured financing, accounts receivable financing and purchase order financing to companies and use qualitative and quantitative metrics to arrive at Rating of Borrowers
  • Experience of more than 8 years in Credit Analysis, Commercial Lending domain
  • Relevant working experience in financial and non-financial due diligence of corporate entities (AML/KYC)
  • Knowledge in Credit Analysis, US GAAP, IFRS, ABL Financing, Financial Statement Analysis, Borrower & Collateral Analysis.
  • Should have an experience in assessing credit worthiness of the corporate borrowers based on qualitative and quantitative factors
  • Strong knowledge on GAAP Accounting / International Financial Reporting Standards, ratio analysis, cash flow, and trend analysis
  • Excellent Analytical, Verbal, Written Skills, interpersonal, communication & organizational skills with proven abilities in customer relationship management


Desired Qualifications:



  • Experience of working across one or more geographic territories or regions
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant or Certified Financial Analyst is mandatory
  • MBA Finance or Business Administration
