Correspondent Banking team was established in Manila in Sept 2017 and has pioneered the payment processing center of WF India & Philippines. The team supports Financial Institutions globally by facilitating cross border payment transactions and handles different types of payment inquiries.



About the Role


Internally known as Operations Manager 1. T he Operations Manager will provide supervision of day to day operations for an operational unit and/ or staff supporting international businesses, products, and systems. Under management guidance, supervises team to ensure effective delivery of service level agreement including adherencet to internal control and compliance. Provides training, performance evaluation and coaching. Implements processes to maximize efficiency of operations. Manages the daily operation of Correspondent Banking processing team and liaises and develops a strong connection with other Correspondent banking Ops and Representative Offices to provide timely response to local and offshore customers and handles difficult cases. Also duties will include: Implementing new Operating/ Control policies, legal and regulatory requirement; Safeguards the Bank free from Operating risks and review the control check-point at each processing workflow; Streamlines daily processing workflow, revises and updates the procedure manuals and prepares reports accurately on a timely basis and lead any projects as required.

  • Managing implementation efforts; resolving complex problems or inquiries; ensuring overall compliance with government regulations and company policies.


Market Skills and Certifications




Essential Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree graduate
  • At least 5 years of Financial or Banking Operations background preferably in Wholesale, Commercial or Corporate and Investment Banking
  • Relevant work experience in Finance or Banking operations such as settlements, payments, capital market operations is required
  • Knowledgeable in SWIFT payment messages - MT 103/202/202 COV/199/999 and CHIPS & FedWire message types
  • Proven management skills with ability to analyze issues or customer complaints and provide solution in a tactful manner
  • Able to work independently and provide support on flexible hours/working days
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Well organized, proactive, constructive and capable to motivate teamwork
  • Has excellent stakeholder management, problem solving skills and analysis
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English
  • Amenable to work on the flexible shift and Philippine public holidays
