As part of the Chief Technology Office (CTO), the CTO Business Services & Governance team partners with CTO technology leaders, Risk, Enterprise Initiatives, and project teams to clear organizational roadblocks to successful execution of risk mitigation initiatives. We are looking for a well-rounded individual to support the critical Risk Governance and Control function. We seek to operate as a 'gold standard' for technology risk mitigation, and the right candidate will help us achieve that goal. This role is posted as Senior Business Services Analyst; however, the Wells Fargo job title is Technology Business Services Senior Associate.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Document, enforce, enhance and communicate CTO processes to enable the successful resolution of Corrective Actions and other high priority deliverables by providing oversight and management of remediation and documentation required for proper validation.
  • In support of regulatory-driven initiatives and strong risk management principles, enhance the governance, process documentation, reporting, and other components necessary to effectively manage operational risk.
  • Collaborate with Risk partners as new Issues and Corrective Actions are written to ensure proper scoping and obtain agreement on the framework for resolution and proof of remediation.
  • Monitor and report on remediation plans and progress.
  • Partner closely with Business Risk & Control partners on clear, robust reporting for line of sight into CTO's risk mitigation performance, and collaborate to continuously improve our risk status.
  • As opportunities arise, may contribute to other risk mitigation activities within the team.
  • Build high organizational awareness and relationships to autonomously navigate the organization and engage key stakeholders.

Selected candidate will be required to work within one of the following Wells Fargo locations: Minneapolis, MN; Chandler, AZ; Phoenix, AZ; or San Francisco, CA. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technology experience
  • 3+ years of process definition and documentation experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) concepts
  • 3+ years of Microsoft office suite experience such as PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing multiple medium technology development efforts within a major line of business
  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
  • 2+ years of SharePoint experience
  • Experience working with the Shared Risk Platform (SHRP)
  • Ability to facilitate and lead meetings to reach conclusions, identify tasks, record actions, and achieve results
  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • Ability to research and report on a variety of issues using problem solving skills


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Information Technology governance risk and compliance processes such as policies, control standards and risk management concepts
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: Application Maintenance Calendaring Tool (AMCT), iTracker, Qualys, Policy Exception Management System (PEMS)

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
