The Legal Department supports the vision, values & goals of Wells Fargo by providing expert, creative, cost-effective, and timely advice and services to all Wells Fargo businesses and support functions. This position will provide support to the Legal Department's Wealth Investment Management Regulatory Team. The role requires a self-starter who can successfully manage multiple areas of responsibility and deadlines within the Division, including the coordination and gathering of information to produce to various regulatory agencies, including the Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA, and State Securities Divisions. The candidate must be able to provide support to a very specialized division within the Legal Department, requiring a high degree of analytical, written and oral communication and organization skills. The ideal candidate must be able to identify specific as well as broad, underlying issues in the area of expertise and work independently on complex assignments and research projects without direct supervision. This role requires someone to have a high level of organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of paralegal experience demonstrated through work or military experience

  • Strong organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong research skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, innovatively, and creatively while exercising sound judgment
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the financial services industry, especially with broker/dealers is preferred;
  • Knowledge and experience with case management applications such as Passport;
  • Ability to manage deadlines;
  • Ability to build and maintain healthy relationships with internal business partners across the company as well as externally with federal and state regulatory authorities.

Job Expectations

  • Paralegal certification may be required in some states
