Join the WFHL Fee Operations team, a part of the larger WFHL Fee Strategy team in support of home lending related fees for the Wells Fargo Home Lending Retail organization from application through post-close. In this extremely fast paced environment, you will actively support the business with production related questions, issues, system analyses, and process execution relating to the Purchase Contract Review Process. This includes identifying and documenting areas of risk and opportunity requiring the need for fixes, enhancements, training, and additional communications. You will be an active part of the team that brings the identified changes from idea to project and through implementation. You and the team will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of knowledge and understanding of fees across the Retail platform. You will establish and enrich key relationships with business partners/areas and ensure awareness throughout the Wells Fargo Home Lending Retail organization for all topics relating to fees. Specific responsibilities include the following:
• Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems
• Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes
• Will provide direction and/or guidance to less experienced staff
• Will be responsible for internal auditing of lower level team members work
• Will be responsible for daily work distribution to lower level team members
• Will be responsible for tracking, compiling reporting daily as well as analysis of trending of SLA, volume, and productivity
• Works with Microsoft Office Suite, with a heavy focus on Excel and Access including trending, graphs, pivot tables etc.
• Takes initiative and respond to requests with limited direction
• Participates in and promotes cooperative working relationships across organizations including knowledge sharing and partnership in achieving solutions
• Works with user groups to assess user needs, resolve questions and recommend changes
• Builds relationships and interacts professionally with a diverse group (internal or external), managers, and subject matter experts
• Works both independently and as part of a team
• Picks up new concepts and skills quickly
• Embraces ownership and accountability situations and roles
• Thinks creatively, inventively/ outside the box

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of customer contact experience in a financial services environment; or 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: financial services operations, underwriting, or quality assurance

Desired Qualifications

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Other Desired Qualifications

Demonstrated facilitation, leadership and organizational skills
Expert Level TRID knowledge and Purchase Agreement fee review process (RESPA)
Closing or Changed Circumstance Validation experience
Ability to navigate CORE

Job Expectations

  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
