The Retail Fulfillment Workforce Optimization Leader will be responsible for delivering analysis, insights and the decision strategies function for an area with impact across business line(s) or with some enterprise-wide impact. Provides leadership to the transformation of data into information and provides information and strategic insight that will assist leaders in decision-making relative to corporate products, services and process improvements that impact business outcomes. Participates in the formulation and articulation of vision for analytic opportunities and advancements. Evaluates, recommends and implements strategies for developing and utilizing technical resources to predict, improve and measure the success of fundamentals and new initiatives linked to business outcomes. This requires an understanding of internal business strategies and objectives. Identifies and integrates external market factors that impact or drive business outcomes. Defines measurement standards and collaborates with business partners to achieve consistent agreement and application of definitions, measurements and interpretation. Builds analytical capabilities and manages modeling, forecasting, reporting and/or data distribution tools and processes. Manages through other managers and/or senior consultants to accomplish objectives.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide strategic consulting to Retail Fulfillment, Home Equity, and Assumptions organization on staffing planning, resource management, and capacity balancing.
  • Oversight of all forecasting, planning, and lend activities and execution. Primary responsibility for planning and collaboration with other lines of business in the enterprise on resource opportunities. Works directly with BCA, Finance, HR, NUPRM, Compensation, ER, Communication and leaders on coordination and approval of specific business needs.
  • Partners with senior management to define the business strategy and create/execute corresponding business plans and initiatives. Strategy development for peak volume needs. Across enterprise strategy development on resource capabilities during non-peak volume needs.
  • Oversight and execution of all Retail Fulfillment and Home Equity capacity related initiatives. Communicate capacity strategies, routines, and deliverables. Collaborate with Production Leaders and teams to drive execution of capacity related strategies.
  • Strategic planning with National Underwriting and Production Risk Management Team on underwriting staffing and authority needs for all of Retail Fulfillment and Home Equity.
  • Responsible for daily oversight and strategy on work movement to ensure customers received the best service possible based on Fulfillment/Home Equity capacity, BCP Initiation and Execution, and Facilities needs and planning.
  • Build collaborative relationships with Finance, Sales, CPG, L&D, Human Resources, Compensation, Employee Relations, and National Underwriting and Production Risk Management (NUPRM).
  • Responsibility for the identification of strategic business, investment and alliance opportunities. Communication of strategy and related business plans to management. Provides guidance to less experienced team members.

Preferred work locations: Charlotte, Orlando, Minneapolis, Des Moines, Englewood and Tempe. We will consider other locations in the Wells Fargo footprint.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
  • 4+ years of management experience


Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of home lending or consumer lending
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong budgeting and forecasting skills
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
  • Experience analyzing, interpreting and presenting results to management


Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
