Department Overview

Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation /Community Bank Technology within the Enterprise Information Technology business provides strategic technology solutions to the both the PVSI and Community Banking lines of business, including application design, development, and support.

About the Role

Senior Technical Individual contributor role responsible for the design and development of highly scalable and robust Enterprise Grade applications in and around Data Power appliance. The role demands ability to transform the current landscape and provide leadership around application rationalization, reduction of technical debt and enabling delivery of critical business outcomes.
The role is to Analyze and evaluate present or proposed integration scenarios for data power based application. Provide improvements and maintenance of the Data Power appliances. Develop and document the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards. Deliver integration projects in XSLT.


Delivering projects in Data power environment with below responsibilities

1 Lead, architect, design and develop software engineering solutions to perform at scale

2 Work with stakeholders to research new technologies, frameworks, tools, and proof of concepts. Develop reusable solutions that can be shared with multiple groups.
3 Plan, perform and resolve escalated issues related to platform, coding and testing deliverables.
4 Ability to drive secure SDLC automation & Dev Ops


Market Skills and Certifications

5 Designs and Builds Non Functional frameworks and tools to improve Resiliency, Reliability, Availability and to reduce latency.
6 Expected to contribute towards integrating complex platforms including several components with business domain and process context.
7 Focus on building relevant engineering and business capabilities in the organization to keep pace with demand and best practices in the industry.
8 Coordinate implementation activities across a broad range of functions and departments; work with client groups to identify, arrange, and/or deliver training needs.
9 Lead organizational initiatives

Essential Qualifications

  • Primary Skills: IBM Data power
  • Secondary Skills: Unix scripts, WTX
  • Domain Knowledge: Banking, Retail
  • Minimum Experience (in years) : 8+ yrs
  • Overall 10+ years of relevant experience on large-scale, mission critical enterprise data power application development projects
  • Experience in diagnosing the network issues and well versed with tools like Wireshark.
  • Experience in working with Digital certificate, configuration and trouble shooting
  • Good experience in SOMA script, Unix and CLI commands
  • Implementation knowledge using build and deploy tools like DPBuddy, ANT tool, uBuild and uDeploy
  • Experience in integrating DataPower with Source code repositories like SVN /GIT
  • Experience in SOAPUi and Datapower XML Management interface.
  • Good knowledge of Splunk tool and writing queries.
  • Experience in handling Datapower Production support call and oncall/pager support
  • Monitoring error logs and work with the developers to proactively fix the issues
  • Flexible in timing (first shift during production changes, second shift on rest of the days)
  • Interest in DataPower development and work closely with Developers in all phases of the SDLC
  • Experience working with MQ
  • Good knowledge in SOA and Web Services
  • Knowledge on XSLT, XML/SOAP and REST
  • Good infrastructure experience with in DataPower environment
