The responsibility of this position is to manage a high volume case load of litigated matters and facilitate necessary communication between law department team members, outside counsel and lines of business. This paralegal will become a member of the Community Banking Litigation Core Case Team (CCT) within the Litigation and Regulatory Enforcement and Investigations Division of the Legal Department. The CCT provides legal support and guidance for Wells Fargo's Community Banking litigation matters with a total demand or amount claimed of $300,000 or less. This person will perform research, background investigation and resolve legal inquiries and issues to support attorneys and more experienced paralegals in the defense of Community Banking litigation. Additionally, this role requires the ability to prepare reports, enter data, track and report litigation events, review agreements, documents, and pleadings relating to litigation matters and offer suggested revisions, when necessary. The position requires frequent telephone, email, and written communication with the bank's outside counsel, opposing counsel, and bank employees. This individual should possess a strong ability to identify risk factors while managing cases.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of paralegal experience demonstrated through work or military experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Proficient with technology, legal research (Westlaw), and to have experience with the use of litigation management systems and e-discovery

  • Paralegal certification may be required in some states
