Data Management and Insights (DMI) is transforming the way that Wells Fargo uses and manages data. Our work enables Wells Fargo to empower and inform our team members, deliver exceptional experiences for our customers, and meet the elevated expectations of our regulators. The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. This team also provides next generation analytic insights to drive business strategies and help meet our commitment to satisfy our customers' financial needs.

The EDL Platform Management within the Enterprise Data Lake Product Management team will partner with DMS leaders, DM&I leaders, technology leaders, corporate functions and line of business to manage Operations & Cost management of the EDL product. The role will drive the release management of infrastructure capabilities, capacity planning for the infrastructure and establishing and maintaining appropriate platform metrics.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Understand requirements of LOB partners of data, analytics and reporting to inform technology and architecture teams on the infrastructure needs of the platform.
  • Develop and manage delivery of infrastructure capabilities aligned to the product road-map.
  • Launch and manage an ongoing Platform Monitoring, User driven dashboard creation and creation of systemic alerts for the EDL Platform
  • Partner with technology infrastructure team to create, manage and a robust capacity planning model that focus on proactive planning and optimizing the asset value to enable best use of EDL
  • Collaborate ad coordinate with executives and key leaders to maintain commitment to strategic objectives
  • Partner with peers in DMS, DM&I and EIT as the conduit to SMEs within Line of Business


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: data management, data governance, data quality or data analysis demonstrated through work or military experience
  • 5 + years of technology infrastructure management experience
  • 5+ years of data environment experience including data management, warehousing and big data
  • 5+ years of experience delivering ETL, data warehouse and data analytics capabilities on big-data architecture such as Hadoop
  • 5 + years of technology release or implementation experience

  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience defining, documenting, and implementing business requirements, policies, procedures and processes
  • Strong expertise in understanding the various aspects of Big Data / Hadoop infrastructure framework, ability to influence and align on optimization efforts, support large scale capacity planning frameworks, adhering to strategic (data & architectural) principles
  • Experience with data management best practices and disciplines including data governance, data architecture, data quality, analytics and business intelligence
  • Ability to foster relationships across Lines of Business and support functions
  • Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
  • Experience presenting to operating committee members, boards and on industry forums
