Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

The Operations Analyst 4 position provides support for the Insurance Team within the Operations Group of Commercial Mortgage Servicing.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Collaborating virtually with Third Party Vendor and offshore team in resolving exceptions, and use specific criteria to quality assure and report metric results and feedback on a weekly/monthly basis. Collaborates with management in the formulation of work procedures, policies and methods to ensure compliance with Wells Fargo, legal, investor, regulatory, and business policies, which directly affect the work unit and other departments.
  • Assisting management in analyzing management reports to optimize workflow coordination and production with domestic staff, vendors and offshore operations.
  • Handling special projects that primarily impact his/her functional area or specific department.
  • Escalating issues, evaluating and processing borrowers' servicing requests in conjunction with asset managers, internal and external counsel, and business partners, and ensure quality customer service is provided to internal/external customers.
  • Conducting quality assurance of loans to ensure process and procedures for each department function are being followed.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of operations analysis experience demonstrated through work or military experience

  • Ability to research, compile, and perform complex analysis on critical operational data
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of operations policies and procedures
  • Ability to independently provide summaries and make strategic recommendations on operational data
  • Ability to partner and coordinate with other functions on projects
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Outstanding technical and critical thinking skills
  • Outstanding troubleshooting and resolution skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • 3+ years of commercial insurance experience
  • Property and casualty insurance experience
  • Ability to provide strong customer service and develop customer relationships


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience dealing with commercial insurance issues related to CMBS and/or portfolio loans
  • Demonstrated ability to implement procedural guidelines and training for staff in multiple locations, including employees abroad.
  • Ability to identify client and/or production related issues and trends, quantitatively analyze, and develop and implement appropriate resolutions
  • Ability to work in a high volume production environment
  • Ability to handle escalated situations in a prompt, professional, and results-oriented manner
