Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

The position leads the oversight of the Enterprise Risk Identification & Assessment (ERIA) process for Reputation Risk. This work program forms a critical element of the Reputation Risk Oversight (RRO) team's 2020 Risk Management objectives and activities. This position will play a critical role in leading the enhancements and evolution of the RRO's ERIA program elements to strengthen the oversight of the reputation risk identification and assessment at the Line of Business and Enterprise Control Function levels. This role will also play a critical role in evaluating the risks associated with climate change impacts for the Company.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 7+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in risk management

Desired Qualifications

  • SharePoint experience
  • Ability to create dashboards and reporting
  • Ability to implement a solution and communicate, in clear business terms, the benefits of the proposed risk management approach
  • Knowledge and understanding of risk management, in financial services
  • Financial Risk Management Certificate (FRM)
  • A BS/BA degree or higher with a major in Risk Management
  • Experience working with the Shared Risk Platform (SHRP)

Other Desired Qualifications
  • First or Second line of defense experience within Wells Fargo or other large financial institutions in any combination of reputation, operational, credit, market, liquidity, and/or strategic risks
  • Experience in leading the implementation of cross functional enterprise-wide risk programs or frameworks
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the fields of Climate Strategy and Risk Management
  • Ability to manage initiatives including: detailed planning, process management, and documentation

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

NC-Charlotte: Min: $110,600 Mid: $158,000
