Department Overview


The Enterprise Technology Infrastructure (ETI) team is responsible for enterprise-wide infrastructure services across the global footprint, including networking, production services, storage, data centers, mainframe, midrange and Cloud-based systems, distributed systems, and international infrastructure.



About the Role

  • Provides support for the most complex technical issues and initiatives related to large-scale applications, systems, databases and/or other technical products and services; uses/creates diagnostic, simulation and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service or data to systems.
  • Act as an internal consultant regarding use of tools and processes; evaluates service level agreement criteria; identifies gaps in current technology processes and recommends changes to assure SLAs can be supported.
  • Performs complex migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations and/or configurations.
  • Evaluate or review queries to extract data, create standard databases, or perform limited programming to fine tune systems supported; completes project sizing; updates/writes documentation and procedures and creates and/or provides related training; troubleshoots network, hardware and software issues and coordinates resolution with users, vendors and internal service groups; writes/designs test scripts; creates change or issue logs.
  • Analyzes performance trends and recommends process improvements; assesses changes for risk to production systems and assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas; and creates, updates and tests the business continuation plan.
  • May provide team leadership to team or project members in a technology organization. May assign tasks and/or project resources; provides work direction and monitors work progress and adherence to technical process controls/standards. Provides subject matter expertise to less experienced analysts.
  • May provide input to supervisors on team member performance.



Responsibilities

  • Provides support for highly complex technical Infrastructure Support in planning and Execution
  • Ability to troubleshoot advanced OS, network, hardware and software issues independently and work with product vendors for solutions
  • Experienced in using diagnostic tools and processes to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service or data to systems
  • Understands overall Application Infrastructure and isolate the problems working with other Support Groups
  • Act as an internal consultant regarding use of tools and processes
  • Evaluates service level agreement criteria and identifies gaps in current technology process and Provides recommendations
  • Defines Standards for Process and Technical Documentations and provide direction in documenting the Knowledge
  • Analyzes trends and recommends process improvements and take ownership in implementing them.
  • Ability to Communicate and partner with other support SMEs for business communications and Projects
  • Ability to make quick and accurate decisions, including the appropriate escalation of critical issues
Primary Skills :
  • Working experience in supporting Global Infrastructure and remote Datacenter based IT systems
  • Working experience in virtual Teams and takes lead in discussion and gather required information
  • Assesses changes for risk to production systems and assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area.
  • Active participation in Infrastructure level Projects and provide design and Implementation Solutions
  • Use Automation Approach for routine tasks and Generates improvements for Team Productivity.
