Software Engineer

This key technical resource will work on multiple regulatory projects in Wells Fargo Securities. The role involves the following responsibilities:
  • Support current and future initiatives including development, testing and production support activities
  • Ability to support current applications during off business hours
  • Development of capital markets technology applications used to support pricing, risk and P/L for residential mortgage backed securities

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 1+ year of experience working with Polypaths Grid infrastructure
  • 1+ year of experience working with Polypaths models
  • 1+ year of experience with calculating risk metrics (Greeks), pricing, profit and loss for structured products specifically Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS)
  • 3+ years of capital markets experience
  • 3+ years of SQL experience
  • 5+ years of application development experience
  • 5 + years of Core Java experience
  • 2+ years of experience delivering complex enterprise wide information technology solutions

Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a quantitative development team about models and integration strategies
  • Knowledge and understanding of derivatives and structured products
  • Knowledge and understanding of fixed income securities, bonds, collateralized mortgage obligations (CMO), Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), and Residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS)

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of the Data Synapse and IBM Symphony grids
