The Payroll Sr. Analyst oversees data maintenance to ensure complete and accurate record of payroll information pertaining to time management by calculating and processing changes on internal reports outside of PeopleSoft, and reviewing inputs in PeopleSoft. Incumbent will act as a subject matter expert for team members, managers, and senior managers regarding payroll inquiries, records, deductions, and procedures as it relates to Time Management functions.

The Payroll Sr. Analyst identifies and owns resolution of payroll regulatory risks by applying understanding of current industry practices. Analyzes, reviews, researches and resolves complex data and/or transaction changes and exceptions in area of focus with moderate legal compliance consequences while monitoring impacts to operations and resources.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Performs complex work in support of payroll preparation and distribution
  • Reviews and processes additions and changes to computerized PeopleSoft payroll systems and ensures accuracy of the data
  • Respond to Payroll Analyst & Team Member Care regarding timekeeping matters, records, and procedures in an accurate and timely manner
  • Utilizes the internal payroll system to perform duties.
  • Ability to fully understand and comprehend Wells Fargo payroll policies and procedures as they relate to Time Tracker.
  • Maintains complete and accurate record of payroll information in support of internal reports and payroll preparation and distribution by using PeopleSoft and Time Tracker
  • Ability to effectively perform various audits to support the overall payroll & timekeeping function
  • Researches ways to improve processes and minimize expenses through application of laws and/or regulations
  • Ability to understand and adhere to standard operations and controls, and determines compliance with policy and/or law
  • Ability to draft Time Tracker Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines as communicated by management

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: HR operations, accounting, payroll, payroll tax, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work, military, or education
  • 2+ years of payroll and timekeeping systems experience

Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of payroll experience
  • 2+ years of PeopleSoft experience
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, Time Tracker and Staff Management
  • Customer service experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of human resources policies and processes
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

NC-Charlotte: Min: $41,800 Mid: $58,000
