Financial Planning and Research Associate

We are a mature, fast paced successful Wealth Management Advisory firm providing high-end investment planning services seeking an energetic, detail minded, and business oriented financial associate who enjoys working in a team environment.

The perfect candidate is self-motivated, possesses exceptional problem solving and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication and building relationships. This person would enjoy building a client base, planning and preparing investment analysis programs; participate in client quarterly reviews and “value-based” planning, track client portfolios and solving client problems. The professional will be responsible for planning and preparing investment analysis programs, as well as overseeing portfolio construction and customized approaches to investment management.


  • Identify gaps or key areas of improvement, any potential risks, mitigations and value-add suggestions
  • Forecast and look for emerging trends related to the planning process and client planning model
  • Building accurate plans for clients, ways to delivering, new planning concepts and analysis
  • Provide fund attribution analysis on individual funds and overall portfolio performance
  • Making security recommendations and modifying asset allocations for existing advisory client accounts
  • Participating in client meetings for financial or investment plan development or presentation
  • Prepare financial planning and investment reviews: trading, dollar cost averaging, etc.
  • Coordinate, communicate and track client portfolio
  • Prepare client quarterly reviews and “Value-Based” Planning
  • Provide support for comprehensive financial planning clients:
    • Collect, organize and synthesize personal and financial client information
    • Analyze, research, propose and implement financial solutions
    • Assess the clients overall financial picture, understand their needs to devise a customized plan
    • Recommending and developing the financial plan analysis
    • Present realistic short and long term scenario recommendations which align with their goals
    • Packaging and preparing meeting materials with the ability to anticipate client’s needs
    • Preparing financial plan updates
  • Continuously monitor client’s financial situations from both detailed and big picture perspectives
  • Execute high quality written and verbal correspondence with clients as well as within the firm
  • Conduct research projects on recent developments related to financial planning
  • Assist with internal work flow system upgrades and development
  • Run financial planning and investment analysis programs
  • Organizing case creation using various systems for each position in the team to tell an accurate story


  • Investment analysis experience
  • 5 years of Financial Planning experience
  • Excel, MS Word, Power Point
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in financial services industry
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to multitask, and time management skills with ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Series 7 License
  • Series 6 or 66
  • Life, Health and Disability - preferred
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) preferred
