PI Workforce Planning Lead

As an important leader within PI's Agile Business Management team, you will help shape PI's workforce planning efforts through defining a strategic approach and providing influential direction and guidance to business leaders as they develop and execute workforce plans and related workspace capacity plans.   Reporting to the Head of Agile Business Management, you will have primary responsibility for defining, documenting, implementing and regularly assessing global workforce plans and related routines (e.g. workspace prioritization, reporting, engagement of leaders, etc.).  You will partner closely with PI leadership and at the enterprise level (e.g. Real Estate, Global Services, Enterprise Technology). This position will be based in Smithfield, Rhode Island.


The Team

The Personal Investing Workforce Planning Lead plays a vital role in the company's success.  The individual serving in this position shapes the firm's workforce planning strategy, makes recommendations for change and manages PI's workforce and related workspace plans. You will partner directly with senior leadership, PI strategy & planning, finance, human resources and technology, as well as enterprise teams where appropriate. 


The Expertise You Have  

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.

  • Strong leadership experience with a strategic focus

  • Expertise in working across organizations and driving toward common objectives

  • Experience with management of end-to-end processes

  • 10 years of experience; (direct workforce planning experience desired)

  • 3 years in Human Resources, Real Estate, Strategy & Planning or related function preferred

The Value You Deliver  

  • Design workforce planning strategy & direction with input from key stakeholders

  • Manage overall engagement with key workforce planning stakeholders (e.g. Human Resources, Real Estate, Strategy and Planning, Finance and Technology)

  • Develop and execute a communication plan that highlights the vision and roadmap

  • Provide strategic insights related to Fidelity's workforce plans and raise issues/trends for executive consideration

  • Ensure timely and appropriate production of visual/narrative materials for PI leadership

  • Lead central end-to-end workforce planning activities (overseeing both strategic workforce planning and operational workforce / workspace planning processes)

  • Act as a change agent to promote workforce planning adoption across PI to advance PI's workforce planning roadmap

  • Manage conflicting Business Unit / Enterprise needs as applicable

  • Ensure solid workforce planning relationship management partnerships between team and key PI business groups
