The purpose of this position is to monitor processing quality and provide feedback to the Quality Coaches for the Quality and Control Department. As a member of the Individual Retirement Quality Team you will ensure that quality guidelines are being met while maintaining good working relationships with the business units we support.

As a contributor at AIG you are the one the clients turn to in times of need. You act with speed, composure, compassion and knowledge to solve problems and the work you do every day is the heart of AIG's business.

*Use analytical skills to ensure quality guidelines are being met by business units
*provide information to Quality Coaches to assist with performance discussions
*Exhibit strong customer service, leadership, and mentoring skills
*Coordinate and support cross-training initiatives expanding the knowledge of the staff
*Act as a resource for staff as needed in handling or resolving complex inquiries

Operations Improvement and Quality Initiatives:
*Participate, lead and support leadership in quality initiatives for the company
*Provide recommendations to management and processors to improve accuracy and efficiency for processors
*Assist in implementing new quality procedures and distributing to appropriate staff
*Partner with Training to develop training material that address business unit's needs

What we are looking for

  • *One to three years' experience in processing capacity
    *Demonstrated ability to use judgment, discretion, and analysis to evaluate and make recommendations to management
    *Strong verbal and written communication skills with peers, internal managers and internal executives
    *Demonstrated mentoring, listening and empathy skills
    *Proven leadership skills and positive attitude with the ability to make consistent, sound and effective decisions with minimal direction
    *Ability to collaborate and interact effectively with all levels of staff and management, on and off-site
    *Ability to multi-task with a variety of systems and processes
    *Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    *Demonstrated record of consistent strong performance
    *Availability to work non-standard shift hours as required to accomplish critical requirements of the job including overtime
