Regional Retirement Consultant Manager

This role leads a team of Regional Retirement Consultants (RRC) who are responsible for selling the Fidelity 401k product through financial intermediaries in the advisor market.  Each team member partners with an external Retirement Director to proactively wholesale financial advisor relationships to build brand awareness, improve advisor loyalty, and to enhance the client experience in order to maximize sale and market share for Fidelity.  This role will be responsible for leading this team of RRCs to achieve their DC goal while simultaneously executing on multi-product (payroll, HSA, Student Debt, etc.) goals to enhance the plan sponsor relationship with Fidelity.   This leader will work in conjunction with key business partners to drive critical business unit level initiatives and grow the WI Sales business through active associate engagement, strategic projects and a strong marketing partnership.     


The Team

You will function as a sales manager within the WI Sales Team, creating and leading strategies to develop your associates and their business. Your leadership and decisions will have significant impact on WI Sales effectiveness, market growth and profitability.


The Expertise You Have

  • Sales Management experience is critical 

  • Three or more years of management within a financial services environment is prefer

  • Understanding of the financial advisor market

  • Understanding of Wholesaling activities

  • Series 7 and 66 or 63 required 

  • Series 24 within 3 month of hire

  • Enthusiasm for hiring, integrating, coaching and developing new sales associate

  • Precise oversight and supervision of operational activities, including compliance adherence and regulatory accountability

  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills

  • Responsible for the quality of the sales related plan sponsor and advisor experience

  • Successfully manages cross-company partnerships and regional corporate relationships to acquire and drive business opportunities 

  • Knowledge of defined contribution industry and recordkeeping

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Must demonstrate strong work ethic as well as strong organizational and project management skills

  • Wholesaler experience

  • Understanding of the financial advisor community

  • Sales Process experience

  • Sales Coaching experience

  • Pipeline Management Experience
