Job Description:
AIG is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the Data Center Network Engineering team. AIG is one of the world's largest insurance and financial companies with over 64,000 employees in 90 countries. This position will entail engineering and implementation of network infrastructure in AIG's Fort Worth, Texas and Livingston, NJ Data Centers. The successful candidate will work with project managers, various technical groups and business units to transform business requirements into scalable network solutions, assist with developing project budgets, timelines and implementation of network infrastructure. The candidate would also develop network solutions for projects that are global in scope, spanning regional data centers around the world and lead teams of engineers during project execution. This role will include becoming a Subject Matter Expert for various network technologies and systems as well as mentoring and technical guidance for junior engineering and operations staff. The position is located in AIG's Fort Worth, Texas Data Center and requires less than 10% travel.

Job Requirements:
• Extensive experience in large Data Center environments
• Ability to work with cross discipline project teams on complex, time sensitive projects
• Adept at managing multiple tasks and priorities
• Work with project managers, other technical disciplines, vendors and business units to transform business requirements into network solutions
• Assist project managers with development of project budgets and timelines
• Implement network solutions in Fort Worth and Livingston Data Centers
• Lead regional network engineering teams in implementation of global projects
• Develop SME level skill across various network technologies and systems
• Develop working knowledge as pertains to networking of mainframe, server, storage, telephony and other IT disciplines
• Assist with development of technology roadmaps and strategies
• Provide level four escalation support for network operations
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on network design and implementation ensuring conformance to standards and best practices
• Provide knowledge transfer and cross training for network engineering and operations staff
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills

Experience Required:
10+ years network engineering with 5+ years in Data Center environment

Education Preferred:
BS in Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering or other technical discipline
