Fidelity Centralized Electronic Trading aspires to be the most influential provider of electronic trading solutions in the marketplace.  We accomplish this by protecting our clients' interests and focusing on innovative research, products and services that empower Fidelity's partners and clients to achieve their trading objectives.  We receive trading commissions from clients when they use our products, and lower transaction cost for Fidelity's clients.

 

The Team

Role is two-fold in that the successful candidate will possesses technical aptitude and the relationship management skills necessary to build trust and rapport with clients, counterparties and vendors. 

On the technical side, you will provide FIX (Financial Information eXchange) consultation, technical and network integration services for all electronic order flow connectivity to, and from, FCM.  FCM provides execution solutions to Buy-Side Institutions, external Broker Dealers and internal Fidelity channels such as Institutional Wealth Services and National Financial Clients.

Implementation management requires deep engagement with current and prospective clients as well as internal stakeholders.  Candidate must be confident interacting with all levels of management internally and externally.  Customer obsession is a key attribute, with a focus on a consultative mindset.

Relationship management skills are a focus for this role.  Our Service Bureau and other technology offerings require strategic partnerships with OMS/EMS vendors and the broker/dealer community to grow successfully.  We require someone who can understand the big picture, initiate and develop relationships, and negotiate favorable terms with our partners with the goal of advancing the market penetration of our products.

 

The Expertise You Have  

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree with 5-7 years of trading floor, trading systems, or technical implementation experience

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors and counterparties

  • Ability to anticipate client needs, guiding them towards mutually beneficial solutions

  • Buy-Side Equity trading desk experience a plus

  • Series 7 and 63 required within 6 months of hire

The Skills You Bring  

  • Working knowledge of Electronic Equity Trading including:  FIX Protocol, Algorithms, EMS/OMS platforms, Smart Routing, Market Structure and Equity Order Types.

  • You are client obsessed and comfortable leading discussions with current and prospective clients.

  • Proven ability to establish and build relationships with clients and industry peers.  Must be comfortable leading discussions/negotiating with our industry partners with the goal of advancing our position in the marketplace.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.

  • You understand the nature of servicing clients in the equity trading industry.

  • You are solution oriented with a focus on execution.

  • Establishing FIX trading connections to and from FCM's trading infrastructure.

  • Participating in order workflow discussions with prospective clients, including identifying workflow requirements for new business through both formal presentations and discussions.

  • Consistent and high-quality end to end client experience.

  • Accurate and comprehensive communication to clients on ETAs, requirements, agreements, etc.
