Technology provides strategic and procedural support in all of AIG's specialized disciplines, such as policy issuance, premium collection, claims handling, and administration. It enables AIG to deliver business strategies through efficient world-class IT and operations services, while ensuring the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place.

The Senior Pega Developer, will be part of the newly formed Pega CoE within AIG's Life and Retirement, and showcase breadth and depth of knowledge on leading the design and implementation of Pega based applications. The open position is a full time position in a Pega project within the Hartford, CT area.

Your contribution at AIG

As a Leader, you are respected for your deep technical expertise and/or ability to oversee programs and processes. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mindset. Ultimately, you take ownership for key outcomes.

PRPC Senior System Architect is responsible for technical oversight and implementation of Pegasystems solutions and additionally should

•Support Inception and Elaboration to ensure optimal solution architecture and design,

•Direct and oversee the technical teams in Construction of the designed solution,

•Develop custom systems integration solution components as dictated by business requirements and

•Manage systems Validation and defect resolution efforts

The SSA also collaborates with project leadership and client management to manage the engagement direction, pinpoint and resolve high-level issues and develop staff and budget plans. As such, the position requires not only technical prowess but also refined interpersonal and management skills.

What we are looking for

The candidate must be either a Certified Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) or should have passed the first part of the LSA Certification with and additional advanced certification (like Decision Management or Robotics)

The candidate must have at least 7 or more years of hands-on experience with Pega PRPC and within that period, the candidate must be performed as lead developer role for at least 2 years. The candidate must be experienced in leading a development team as well be hands-on in doing PoCs with additional technologies as needed to deliver the system functionalities on time and with high quality.

•Demonstrated success working within a team project structure; including possessing a variety of roles within those teams

•6+ years' experience working with Pegasystems technologies

•2+ years' experience designing, building and implementing Business Process Management solutions on one or more technology platforms

•J2EE development experience

•Exposure to and familiarity with various industries and specific operational solutions
