As a Senior Instructional Designer on the Client Learning Design (CLD) team, your responsibilities will include designing experiences that aim to provide optimal learning outcomes for clients using the Wealthscape platform. The CLD team is focused on innovation and evolution to close learner gaps by providing pragmatic, meaningful solutions to our clients.

 The Expertise You Have

  • Minimum 5 ears of proven experience in a professional work environment as an instructional designer, trainer/educator, or consultant required.

  • MA degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or similar a plus.

  • Wealthscape platform experience a plus.

  • This position is 3 days in the office; 2 days remote

  • You have proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint)

  • You have experience using Adobe Photoshop for graphics; editing a plus

The Value You Deliver

  • Partnering with subject matter experts (SMEs), project manager, and other stakeholders to assess impact of proposed changes to the Wealthscape platform and the resulting product and learner needs/gaps. Proposing the appropriate learning solution whether it is a single modality or a blended learning approach. If training collateral already exists, proposing changes to make it the optimal solution for the learner. Actively participating in curriculum redesign planning and collaborating with other team members to ensure a consistent, unified approach for course offerings. Being able to make ID decisions independently given the amount of input you have gathered and received. Working with the project manager to ensure appropriate expectations and deadlines are agreed upon. Working to resolve and overcome barriers and obstacles while maintaining respectful professional relationships with fellow team members, SMEs, and other stakeholders. Providing mentoring to junior team members as needed.

  • Writing or updating storyboards in accordance with Instructional Design standards and approaches (active voice, workflow scenarios, need to know vs. nice to know, etc.) that are clear, accurate, and thorough enough for development. Effectively collaborating and communicating with the elearning developer(s) throughout the duration of the project cycle to ensure accuracy and intended product outcomes.

  • Writing or updating job aids in accordance with Instructional Design standards and approaches and level of quality.

  • Engaging in ID discussions for topics outside of writing and development, such as emerging learning theories/approaches, assessments, analytics, and other ID areas.

  • Providing the project manager with regular updates as to a project's status via the database or other means of communication. Consistently make deadlines while demonstrating accuracy, attention to detail, and ownership of the project from start to finish.
