As a part of the VALIC Retirement Education Center (REC), you will have the opportunity to be trained on the products, value proposition, sales concepts, and gain the experience needed to perform in this position. Individuals who excel as Client Support Advisors come from different professional backgrounds, so no prior financial services experience is required.

The Client Support Advisor partners with our District Vice Presidents in servicing Clients in their respective territories. Our Client Support Advisors work with our most important clients providing ongoing services such as planning, investment guidance and distribution/income planning assistance. This position combines the challenges and continual learning opportunities associated with Financial Advising with the objective of providing a Positive Client experience with every interaction. This position is not focused on sales but rather providing exceptional service which results in new business opportunities to be referred to the Senior Retirement Specialists for the District or Local Financial Advisor.

The Following Skills are necessary for success in the position:

-Relationship Building



-Entry Level Knowledge of Investments, Annuities and Retirement Planning

Key Responsibilities:

-Outbound Calls to Existing VALIC Clients

-Speak with 10-12 clients daily

-Identify New Business Opportunities and work with District Vice President and Senior Retirement Specialist on those opportunities

-Reduce Client Surrenders

-Bachelor's Degree or 2+ year's relevant industry experience

-Ability to pass Securities Industry Essential Exam

-Ability to Obtain FINRA Series 6 & 63 as well as State Variable Life & Health Licenses within 90 days of start date

-Previous VALIC experience (Preferred)

-Experience in developing trusting relationships with clients
