The SAS Platform Lead will be responsible for running SAS Grid as an enterprise shared service utility. Provide leadership and deep technical expertise in all aspects of solution design and deployment.
Provide training to users and focus on setting technical direction for Next Generation Data ecosystem. Responsible for coordinating teams to accomplish standardized solution development across federated technology teams.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Supporting delivery of the SAS shared services for SAS Grid.
a. Conduct workshops/training for users & operations support
b. Ensures the overall health of the SAS platform.
c. Define operational process, design develop automation where necessary. Develop monitoring and automate.
d. Develop best practices and platform Governance guidelines.
e. Responsible for providing SAS technical support to end users and implementing new SAS technical solutions.
2. Platform upgrades and innovations
a. Review new technology upgrades. Perform POCs compare review products for analytics
b. Review business cases and Provide solution assistance to ensure that the most appropriate Analytics technology is selected to satisfy the business requirement and to provide user assistance during early phases of the project lifecycle.
3. Designs solutions to reduce the operational and management complexity of the platform
4. Serves as an escalation point for escalated production and/or platform issues.
5. Work with the SAS user community; perform periodic code reviews to ensure that SAS applications are utilizing efficient design principles and adhering to internally published best practices.

Job Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to triage issues and provide creative solutions to streamline operations.
• Expert level knowledge for SAS grid architect and capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience in product representation to prospective clients and business case evaluation.
• Ability to triage issues and provide creative solutions to streamline operations.
• Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and perform tasks to get the job done efficiently and effectively.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time.
• Superior communication skills and relationship management skills in order to act as a resource to users of business applications and procedures.

Required Education - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems management, or related discipline.
Experience Preferred - 10+ years.
Minimum 6 years experience and subject matter expertise in SAS systems architecture,
Minimum 4 years experience SAS user support
