Job Description

  • Deliver high quality software working in a dynamic agile environment
  • Hands on design, development and engineering, working with front-end, backend API creation and integration with AIG systems of record
  • Design of New Web, Mobile apps and Micro Services with cloud native architectures
  • Work closely with operations and infrastructure to build and scale back-end services
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to other full stack engineers, training and mentoring, continuously looking to grow and mature the team
  • Drive key engineering and architectural decisions that impact AIG and cloud native applications
  • Accountable for large cross functional technical deliverables
  • Maturing the software engineering practice through creation and adoption of the latest best practices and standards
  • Maturing the DevOps methodologies, continuous focus on engineering metrics and ability to deliver high quality software

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 10+ years of general software development with experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Confident technical leader who can prioritize and analyze tradeoffs, communicate clearly and effectively across organizational boundaries
  • Full stack web/mobile/micro service development - 3+ years
  • Hands on coding experience with NodeJS or Java - 8+ years
  • Hands on coding experience with JavaScript and Web technologies ReactJS or Angular - 4+ years
  • Hands on coding experience with NoSQL or relational databases - 5+ years
  • Hands on experience and knowledge with CI/CD (Jenkins, Terraform etc) - 3+ years
  • Solid knowledge of software design patterns, refactoring, TDD and ability to articulate architectural decisions - 4+ years
  • Knowledge of automation and hands on unit testing (JEST, Enzyme, Mocha etc) - 2+ years
  • Solid knowledge of cloud architecture and hands on experience working with AWS technologies - 2+ years
  • Fluent written and verbal communication

  • Self-motivated, adapt quickly and positively to constantly changing environments with tight timelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with machine learning, conversational AI
  • Experience with PCF (Pivotal cloud foundry)
  • Experience and knowledge of native mobile application development with XCode, Swift and Objective C
  • Insurance knowledge
  • Hands on working knowledge with dynamic languages (Python, Perl)
  • AWS certification - solutions architect
  • Experience communicating with users, technical teams, management and business
