As a small business underwriter, you will be focused on developing a profitable book of Excess Casualty business. This role accepts, declines or modifies new and renewal underwriting submissions from brokers. The role analyzes and evaluates risk, determines acceptability based on authority and divisional guidelines, and evaluates appropriate pricing based on profitability objectives. Additionally, you will need to build strong internal and external relationships to source high quality submissions, and encourage online system usage. You will responsible for handling a wide range of industries including but not limited to construction, real estate, manufacturing, retail, and service.
- Preferably 3-5 years of Commercial Insurance Company, Agency, or Brokerage experience
