The Expertise We're Looking For

  • Thought leadership and business knowledge to drive innovation in the retirement and education savings market

  • Superlative communication and relationship management skills for both internal partners and external clients

  • Familiarity with Fidelity PI technology systems and processes and ability to understand and communicate technology requirements

  • Demonstrated commitment to cross-functional collaboration in agile, client centric, fast paced environment

  • Experience with data-driven approaches to decision making

  • Familiarity with retail and workplace distribution channels a plus

  • 7 years of financial services experience

  • Bachelor's degree minimum; MBA a plus

  • Series 6/7 licenses required initially or within 3 months of hire

The Purpose of Your Role

As a Retirement and College Leadership squad member working in the Retirement and Income Solutions Tribe, you will provide insights and drive innovation in the retirement and college savings space, championing the needs of Fidelity's state clients and individual customer needs to the squad. You will work closely and collaboratively across technology, legal, risk, compliance, marketing, user experience, and distribution functions. 

Also, you will work closely with your squad to document: 

  • The work that will be done by the team

  • The criteria that will determine if the work is complete

The Skills You Bring

  • You have the ability to work in a fast paced agile team environment, living out scrum principles while sharing ownership through tight and transparent team collaboration

  • You are able to provide core product management including the inspection and support of online content, collateral, marketing materials, legal documentation, and service mailings

  • You bring product and trend insights to the retirement and college savings squad work

  • As it pertains to college savings specifically, you are a subject matter expert and can present details of those products and initiatives to phone teams, investor centers, workplace, oversight, and other appropriate audiences

  • You participate in the development and creation of effective marketing materials and public relations strategy

  • You can manage product initiatives from idea screen to rollout

  • You can identify problems, breaking them into components and provide leadership in identifying solutions

  • You understand and can execute against client contractual commitments through driving organizational awareness and delivery on those commitments

  • You make the complex simple, communicating in ways that resonate with your audience, through material development as well as formal and informal conversation

  • You are able to help in prioritization discussions with peers and leadership

  • You are able to grasp evolving consumer trends in our digital world

  • You are intellectually curious and love learning new skills and capabilities

  • You are a self-starter who is organized, detail oriented, and focused on keeping progress moving forward, not only for yourself, but also for the entire squad

  • You can obtain and provide analysis and metrics for a variety of purposes including standardized industry reporting, client specific presentations, regulatory filings, and differing ad hoc needs 

  • You are adept in leveraging MS Office  (including PowerPoint, word and excel) tools

  • Partnering with Squad Leader and Squad Members to define, develop, maintain, test, measure, and iterate on details of Fidelity's retirement and college savings offering

  • Assisting and leading retirement and college savings initiatives as defined by your Squad Leader

  • Maintaining solid business partnerships with state governments

  • Representing the client and her needs, timelines, and perspectives - influencing our plans and actions to account for client demands and then sharing such plans with marketing partners

  • Understanding and performing competitive and consumer analysis, identifying and applying insights driving Fidelity's differentiation

  • Developing and evolving ideas that effectively bring together client needs, emerging technology and financial trends, and Fidelity's offering goals

Your squad's focus is to develop Fidelity's leadership in retirement and college savings, and ensuring we can grow and deliver to meet and exceed our clients' expectations.  Your contributions will positively impact our retirement and college savings clients. Though sharing ownership with the team, you will have more oversight to ensure that Fidelity's 529 education savings product continues to grow in market share while improving in its feature capabilities.  Day to day operations and maintenance of the product will also be a critical to the product's success.  When you, and your team, are successful Fidelity's clients will have best options to meet their retirement and education savings goals.
