AIG General Insurance Company, Ltd.

Provide support for US Portfolio Solutions by means of research, analysis, documentation, testing, and training. Fully participate in the project development process, contributing to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of internal systems, procedures and processes and were necessary, external vendors.
Contribute to the decision making process of assignments and make recommendations to the program manager as well as when representing US Portfolio Solutions on project teams.
Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the development of business solutions including, but not limited to:


  • Develop and recommend automated solutions to satisfy business needs and reduce the amount of manual and redundant effort currently required
  • Interact with Stakeholder groups to define and document Business Requirements using a standardized template
  • Participate in system testing
  • Develop, document and facilitate user acceptance test plans to ensure fulfillment of requirements and successful project implementation
  • Prepare and maintain user reference guidelines and documentation
  • Prepare training materials and, when appropriate, conduct formal training
  • Monitor quality of production systems
  • Develop reports using various query and or report writer tools as needed
  • Participate in the cost analysis/justification and written recommendation to management of the business need
  • Participate in the creation of project plans, estimates, schedules and status reports

Perform research and analysis activities including, but not limited to:


  • Research, coordinate and track problems to resolution
  • Investigate and recommend system, policy and or procedural improvements
  • Perform workflow analysis, create workflow diagrams and make recommendations for procedural improvements
  • Perform ad hoc research projects

Understand and represent US Portfolio Solutions and communicate their needs effectively


  • Support the business needs on company subcommittees and teams when requested
  • Exhibit a continued commitment to expand knowledge base through personal initiative and industry sponsored courses/seminars
  • Successfully complete assignments with minimal supervision
  • Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Assume additional responsibilities as requested

Knowledge, Skills and Education Required
  • Minimum five years work experience in Commercial Insurance lines, preferably with CPP, Auto and Umbrella
  • Four year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated mastery of duties and responsibilities of a Business Analyst role
  • Hands on knowledge of ISONET rates, rules and forms
  • Proven analytical, decision making and problem solving abilities
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to comprehend and apply a working knowledge of a system development methodology
  • Able to multi-task, manage details and execute effective follow through
  • Able to manage group dynamics, facilitate effective team interaction, and negotiate effectively
  • Procedural development/workflow analysis preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, Power Point, and Access dB).
  • Demonstrated dependability in a highly dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of property and casualty underwriting environment helpful
