The Expertise We're Looking For
  • Candidates must have graduated or be seniors graduating and available to work within the next year.
  • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
  • Working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Experience within the financial services industry is also valued.
The Purpose of Your Role
  • You will provide analytical support, help provide technical guidance, and deliver analysis in support of team leads and functional partners.   You will interact with Fidelity personnel at various levels, gathering and synthesizing data and input,  to help define strategy and drive execution.    
The Skills You Bring
  • Work with business partners to understand underlying analytic needs and determine approach (e.g. what kind of data to pull, analytics needed on the data to answer the question/hypothesis)
  • Be able to create a learning/analytic agenda in partnership with business partners
  • Be able to provide a clear test design and structure to enable measurement of programs
  • Ability to use query languages (SQL, etc.) to pull data from structured and unstructured data sources (Customer Warehouse, Hadoop, etc.) and be able to join data from various sources (e.g. operational data) for analytic purposes
  • Be able to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Ability to perform analytics on data and provide clear and actionable insights
  • Able to articulate analysis for easy consumption using tools like Powerpoint, Tableau, Qlik
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
