Research Analyst - CLO Desk - Public Credit Group The Analyst will be required to: (1) assist the research team in underwriting new investment proposals and provide market / research data to the portfolio management team; (2) monitor underlying corporate loan performance and assess the impact on AIG's portfolio to enable effective risk management; (3) assist in on-going oversight of CLO managers including qualitative manager strategy assessment and quantitative performance reviews; (4) serve as primary contact with investment banks on information requests for all transactions and document stipulations; (5) responsible for quarterly OTTI and surveillance process including documenting assumptions, running models and submitting memos and results; (6) assist in the preparation of weekly market commentaries and on-going internal / external presentation materials on portfolio performance, relative value, market updates and credit trends; (7) create / improve / maintain CLO research database and efficiently process and summarize large sets of data for performance and risk exposure reports.

Job Requirements:
Job Requirements: The Analyst should have experiences in valuations / recovery modeling, with extensive financial modeling expertise, including the ability to understand, model and sensitize cash flows. The Analyst should have knowledge of commonly used credit indices and understand total return and net investment income strategies, ideally within the context of insurance company fixed income investment portfolios. The Analyst will be a quick learner with a positive and proactive attitude, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. The Analyst will need to have effective communication skills and the ability to work closely and constructively with multiple constituencies including portfolio managers, traders, credit risk managers, legal counsel, rating agencies, issuers, other research analysts, accounting, IT, and others. Proficient experience with MS Office required. Computer programming, Intex and Bloomberg experiences preferred.
