The Medical Director role will require a doctor that will be responsible to focus on medical oversight for MMS. They will work with the business leads to ensure MMS programs are handled in accordance to medical protocols and assist in the implementation and review of new programs. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Interact with regulatory and other industry entities to provide AIG medical positions where appropriate . Provides oversight of all clinical programs, policies, procedures and processes. Includes review of clinical review criteria/guideline selection and approval for use. Creates and conducts educational programs for clinical staff and other AIG groups. Provides support to clinical staff on case referrals providing direction and guidance to ensure appropriate claim outcome. Ensures all clinical programs are in compliance and provides guidance and direction for all clinical audits and quality improvement projects. Responsible for development of clinical content in marketing materials and writes research publications to support clinical service offerings. Uses clinical expertise to stay current on standards of care, advancing health care techniques, and regulatory/accreditation standards to identify opportunities for new services and programs.
Valid medical license Board Certified Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) software 10 years of medical work experience
