•Design, implement & optimize an overall Field Training strategy for the U.S. Life Insurance business of AIG which is in-line with the strategic vision of the organization.
•Represents the business both internally and externally, although this role has a primary external focus; Reports to the Head of Life Marketing.
•Design and facilitate product and proposition-based training concepts and curriculum delivery methods for both internal staff and external customers (distribution channels and field producers/advisors) for AIG's Life Insurance portfolio (and some A&H and Annuity as required).
•Responsible for developing Field Training deliverables with quantifiable key marketing metrics to demonstrate effectiveness of activities and to prove contribution to the achievement of objectives and financial targets for sales, revenue, profit and growth.
• Ability to handle fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and delivering a consistent track record of meeting deadlines.
•Broad, creative, & innovating thinking with the ability to gather extensive amounts of information and synthesize them in concise reports, presentations & deliverables.
•Knowledge of applicable technology to manage current infrastructure and envision development of new / innovative competitive tools
•Contribute to the Life Insurance Proposition Development capability at AIG by actively participating in the process and driving breakthrough, innovative proposition themes and messages to our customers (distribution channels, field producers/advisors, and consumers). Customer propositions will be aligned internally and externally around the organization's strategic, marketing and brand objectives.
•Directs and oversees the Field Training Team which includes training personnel aligned with the life distribution channels. Actively participates in the Life Marketing Leadership Team which will drive the overall Life Marketing strategy and approach.
•Bolster the Customer Culture within the organization, with emphasis on field training strategies that impact Customer Experience and Customer Loyalty.
•Ensure alignment of Field Training strategies with other key marketing functions including Channel Marketing, Digital Marketing, Marketing Communications, Marketing Operations, and Creative Services. Additionally, ensure alignment with other key business functions that impact the outcomes of Field Training, including but not limited to Sales, the Competition/Insights/Analytics team, Operations, Product Development and Illustrations and Information Technology.
•Ensure alignment of business and life Field Training strategies with the requirements of applicable local regulations and corporate guidelines. Develop and nurture effective relationships with Compliance, Legal and other applicable regulatory entities.
•Implement and effectively manage the Field Training budget and budgeting process.
•Direct all Field Training-related Business Continuity activities within the Life Marketing function.
•Champion team and individual engagement, as well as leadership and personal development. Energize employees in the business strategy to accelerate the organization. Leverage employee talents and commitment to build momentum through aligned objectives and impactful marketing scorecards.
•Create and execute innovative stakeholder communications strategies to educate and inform key constituents and current supporters about activities and accomplishments.
•Mobilize the Field Training team to “get the plan off the page” with efficiency and flexibility - measuring results and adjusting the plan to reach aggressive goals quickly.

Job Requirements:

•Deep understanding of the life insurance business and changing market dynamics
•Knowledge of multiple insurance distribution channels, as well as insurance business processes.
•10+ years life insurance industry or sales education experience with broad understanding of sales training, life insurance products, market research and distribution.
•Experience that includes hands-on course development/design experience and managing a team.
•Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; Master's degree is a plus, as is professional certifications in Financial Services/Financial Planning, Life Insurance, Training Delivery/Deployment, Course Design/Development, or related field.
•Analytical, creative-thinking and quantitative skills
•Successful track record in training, consulting, facilitating, managing and collaborating up, down, and across organization levels
•Ability to handle fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and consistent track record of meeting deadlines.
