Technical Consultant Location: Berkeley Heights or Charlotte, NC Position Summary: As a Technical Consultant you will support the rating implementation of the Consumer Insurance Platform (CIP) which is based on the EIS Suite framework. You will have responsibilities for the design and development of solutions for complex technical challenges experienced during execution of the CIP implementation. As a senior developer of the Rating team, you will be expected to provide guidance to other development teams on leveraging the EIS framework for their applications. Responsibilities: Perform rating implementation for the Consumer Insurance Platform which entails performing java coding and algorithm configuration via OpenL framework to define insurance products. Act as a senior development resource, working with other project teams to provide technical direction on the use of the framework, as well as mentoring junior developers. Work with the project PM to identify development tasks and determine implementation timelines. Responsible for meeting development schedules and ensuring the delivered solution meets the technical specifications and design requirements. Participates in agile sprint planning meetings and daily scrum/stand-up meetings.
The Ideal Candidate will have: Senior level developer - minimum 9+ years of core Java (v1.4 or greater). Java (v1.4 or greater), Eclipse, Oracle 11g, XML/XSL, SQL, SVN and Maven.
