The Underwriter will:

  • Work closely with the Lexington Personal Lines Program Administrators to review new and renewal business risk referrals as necessary to ensure acceptability
  • Assist the Lexington Personal Lines Program Administrators with general underwriting questions concerning the Lexington Personal Lines Underwriting Standards, forms/endorsements, and other related items
  • Provide guidance to the Lexington Personal Lines Program Administrators regarding Program Connect related issues
  • Act as a resource for both the Lexington Personal Lines Program Administrators and the Lexington underwriting team and management regarding specific underwriting support functions, such as the order and review of model reports, etc.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Five years of professional work experience
  • Five years of P&C underwriting experience preferred
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as strong marketing and negotiation skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills and have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
