Employee will handle complex construction defect claims with moderate to high exposure to the company. Responsibilities include: investigation, evaluation and resolution of claims and providing excellent customer service while developing and implementing strategies to ensure cost effective and timely resolution of claims. Travel as required (25%) for internal and external meetings, trials, mediations and settlement conferences. Organizational Structure: This position reports to an AVP/VP in the Complex Casualty Claims department. Performance Objectives: - Investigate, evaluate and resolve new and existing Construction Defect claims. - Utilize strong analytical and organizational skills along with excellent communication, negotiation and investigation skills to resolve claims. - Manage outside counsel and review case documents.
* 5-7 years of experience in the insurance and/or legal experience is required.
• JD degree is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills.
• Highly developed analytical ability with good decision making skills.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks and exercise sound judgment.
