AIG is now hiring for a Personal Accident Underwriting Assistant. This role supports the Personal Accident Team to assist underwriters and internal customers via email and phone. The right candidate for this role will be detail-oriented, thrive when working independently, and detail oriented.

Position Description

  • Completing required training and learning business practices/procedures
  • Processing A&H mail requests, renewals, and endorsements (document creation and system
  • Reserve New Business quotes (system only)
  • Coordinating producer licensing activity between PL team and Underwriting
  • Prepping files for renewal (file organization loss runs contract comparison)
  • Assisting in the completion of ad-hoc projects that arise

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma preferred
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Some familiarity with insurance industry
  • Proficient with MS Office and Outlook applications
  • Proficient typing skills
  • Strong aptitude for basic computer systems (Microsoft Office, Email, Internet)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external customers
  • Proven quality in the area of attention to detail
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Organizational skills
