Provides primary processing of incoming Utilization Review referrals, ensuring accuracy of information, coordinating with requesting providers, adjusters and case managers to ensure all supporting medical documentation is secured to perform the review. Provides essential coverage of the nationwide UR Call Center which processes incoming calls requesting UR, as required in many jurisdictions.
Position requires high level of attention to detail as the department covers 34 jurisdictions, all with specific UR processing requirements. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment is required. 1-2 years of prior medical office or managed care experience preferred. Proficiency in computer skills and telephonic customer service is required. Prior medical terminology training / proficiency preferred.
Work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. central time.
