The Trust Officer works as an integral member of the Personal Trust Administration team that provides trust services to Fidelity Institutional business partners, wealthy individuals and trust clients across the U.S.  The Trust Officer acts as the primary fiduciary contact for a trust account and is responsible for performing or overseeing all the details of trust account management and administration.  The Trust Officer is responsible for monitoring account activity to ensure compliance with a trust document, as well as internal procedures; investigating and recommending action on discretionary decisions; and providing estate and tax expertise as necessary.


The Expertise We're Looking For

  • College Degree or equivalent experience

  • Preferred 7 to 10 years of experience in trust administration; knowledge of trust products required

  • Working knowledge of trust and estate law, personal and trust taxation, and estate planning and other financial services required

  • Series 7, Series 65 and CTFA preferred

How Your Work Impacts the Organization

The Trust Officer position provides high touch service to Fidelity Institutional business partners, grantors, co-trustees, and beneficiaries related to trust accounts where Fidelity Personal Trust Co., FSB is named as trustee, co-trustee or agent for trustee.  The Trust Officer collaborates with internal and external partners to manage client expectations related to trust language, distributions, taxation, and estate settlement.  Internal partners include Fidelity Institutional Product, compliance, operations, trust tax group, legal and the Fidelity Institutional client experience teams.  Trust Officers also work with co-trustees, attorneys, accountants/CPAs, and guardians.
