Broker Job Site

Brokers looking to change firms and managers looking to hire brokers have a new resource – BROKERHUNTER.com.  The web site (www.brokerhunter.com) , launched in May, is free to brokers and other registered personnel and enables them to post their credentials anonymously and to browse geographically or by job type for firms that are hiring.

“We allow a prospective candidate to confidently search for opportunities without sacrificing discretion,” said company founder and former broker Steven Testerman.  “The problem with using a traditional resume on the Net is that they can reveal the [identity] of an individual to others.  Since that’s more of a problem in the securities industry than in other industries, we designed our site so that the job candidate is in complete control of the submission of information to hiring firms.  We don’t release anything until the broker tells us to.  At the same time, we capture information about trailing 12-months gross production, assets in your book, registrations held and even the U-4 that gives a firm the pertinent data they need if they want to initiate contact.”

The Roswell, Ga.-based company said that brokerage firms can browse the site at no cost, but must agree to pay BROKERHUNTER.com a fee if they hire a broker through the service.  There also are special rates for branch office use and if a firm wants to include information about itself on the site.
