A strong leader who is truly client obsessed, loves working with an inspired team to design and deliver exceptional value to clients, and effectively collaborates within and across tribes and with affected chapter leaders/team leaders to ensure alignment and appropriate execution for the work of the squad. As the Squad leader, you will act as product owner, bringing your squad together to first deeply understand the client needs, envision the product, work with other squad members to prioritize and manage the work, and take the lead to effectively prioritize and resolve dependencies. You will work with your Tribe Leader to ensure alignment of the squad's objectives with the overall Tribe strategy and delivery of business results and client outcomes as measured by specific Key Performance Indicators.

The Team

 

As squad leader within the Life Events team (s) you will be accountable for identifying, sizing and prioritizing top Life Events opportunities based on an extensive understanding of our clients and their needs. In addition, you and your squad will be accountable for designing, developing and maintaining life event solutions and experiences over time.

The Expertise You Have

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
  • 10-15 years relevant experience in digital customer experiences, product development or product strategy
  • Financial services experience preferred but not required
  • CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (or similar) preferred, but not required
  • Agile experience required
  • Strong business and technical acumen and a deep strategic mindset
  • Proven track record of delivering results and impact
  • Strong influencing skills to achieve alignment across the organization 
  • Proven analytical skills and experience making decisions based on data/facts
  • Desire for learning and continuous improvement, both of yourself and your team members
  • Demonstrate strong influencing skills to achieve alignment up and down the organization
  • Track record of providing innovative solutions for clients
  • Experience understanding and identifying client needs and requirements through market research, client & advisor interviews and client journey map

  • Experience defining and articulating offering strategy along with rationale / justification for why it is important to their clients
  • Track record of leading, directing, and empowering team members in support of execution - allowing team to define ‘how' while reinforcing the ‘what' / strategy
